Welcome to AMF

If you are interested in learning more with out going to the expense of buying a plane, helicopter and radio gear, get in contact with us because we are more than happy to share our knowledge and experiences, and maybe a bunch of our time to show you how it all works and what its like.

Or, pop into your local model shop and check out some serious gear.  Cheap stuff will cause you problems short and long term.  Better Quality gear tends to be easy and better to use adding to the fun of RC aircraft rather than buying yourself a bunch of someone elses problems - Go visit your local model shop and buy brand name gear.

Current club members will find updates and soon we will add a weather section (now added -look under instant WX on the menu).  Hopefully we can convince Michael to provide daily on the spot (since he is closest to the field) wind reports. Last reports are that he is 76 metres closer to the Ashhurst end of the runway than Don!

Please do be patient whilst we populate this site and check back often or at least make a RSS feed to us so that you can be kept informed of progress.

Watch this space as Mike promises to post photos and progress reports of his latest build project!

Catch you in the air.....

April club day

The First Monthly club day went off with a bang yesterday with 14 members down flying.

The day started out well with a icey cold 3 degs before the sun came out with alight S.E winds.

Many thanks to Flash and national gas for supplying BBQ lunch and the limbo poles and yet  another show off with the pulse jet.

Please check out some of the videos of the day (links below)
